Paper size 66x66cm. One of a limited artists edition of 40.

Wytham Woods is a 1000 acre ancient woodland on the outskirts of Oxford which is owned by Oxford University and is said to be the most reasearched woodland in the world with many long term studies going back to the 1940’s.

This print was created from a section of a fallen Hornbeam from Wytham and is available in black. The tree had falleb due to disease and you can see from the unusual marking on this one that it had become spalted - infected with fungi. Some species such as Hornbeam and Lime have light grain and less prominent rings, making them more difficult to print, although the spalting in this case has given the print an unexpeced character.

The print can be supplied unframed or in a black 70cm square frame with mount. Mount colour can be white, black or cream.

The Framed version is only available to UK customers, otherwise bare print in a postal tube can be shipped anywhere
